The boutique sale will feature works by Southeast Asian masters such as Ahmad Sadali, Srihadi Soedarsono, and Cheong Soo Pieng. Works by prominent artists like Emiria Soenassa, I Gusti Ayu Kadek Murniasih, Popo Iskandar and Fadjar Sidik will also be featured in this auction.
Among the auction highlights is this superlative piece by Cheong Soo Pieng titled “Rice Pounding”. Executed in 1980, this large oil by one of Singapore’s modern masters is a well documented piece and was exhibited at The National Museum Art Gallery Singapore in November 1983.
