Since the inception of SIPF, the Portfolio Open Call is a core programme of SIPF with the purpose of discovering emerging photographers while showcasing new photographic works and practices to audiences. Unrestricted by any themes or subject, the International Portfolio Showcase is likened to a survey of the preoccupations of the practitioners, the works they choose to create, and the issues and subjects that can lend a new perspective to the world we are living in. From over 600 submissions received, 31 artists have been selected from 20 countries to exhibit in SIPF 2018.
IN OTHER IMAGE, WHEN WORDS FAIL presents the innermost thoughts, narrates spectrum of indescribable feelings, charting overrunning dialogues, tracing unceasing investigations and immense into exhilarating imaginations with over 300 images by 31 artists. Ultimately the images connects us both intellectually and emotionally.
