What begins as a minor accident sets in motion a series of escalating consequences.

Sold out at the Singapore International Film Festival 2025, Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi’s Palme d’Or-winning film, IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT, revisits his own experience of being incarcerated in Iran for his work as a dissident filmmaker. He poses the pertinent questions: What if he met his captors after his release? How would he feel, and more importantly, what would he do?
