Katong of Yesteryear features forgotten traders and places through original and digital paintings by born-and-raised Katongnite Erica Wee, revisiting Katong’s diverse professions and beloved locations from the 1960s–1980s. Many of these trades have since faded due to declining apprenticeship and commercialisation. Through Wee’s vibrant artwork, this exhibition preserves neighbourhood scenes that echo this historic enclave’s unique character and community spirit.
