Khan Siong Ann, Fishes
Rivières is a solo art exhibition featuring locally based artist Khan Siong Ann’s symbolic paintings from Singapore and Paris, presented by Pan Pacific Singapore and Goshen Art Gallery.
In this exhibition, Khan Siong Ann showcases a series of breath taking and picturesque oil and watercolour paintings. Inspired by his travel experiences, his artworks reflect the beautiful sceneries of the rivers, architecture and lifestyle elements in Singapore, Paris and other countries. Iconic artworks include visuals of Marina Bay, river cruises along Clarke Quay and Notre Dame in Paris.
Born in 1942, Khan Siong Ann, a second generation artist, travelled to Paris to pursue French art techniques and styles. He spent 15 years to experiment and master the unique style of French paintings and was influenced by the masterpieces at French art museums, while honing his watercolour and calligraphy skills at the same time. He has participated in several art exhibitions, notably at the opening ceremony of Expo 2010 Shanghai, and had his artworks curated for postage stamps.
Showing support to children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Goshen Art Gallery will be donating part of the proceeds from this exhibition to Autism Resource Centre (Singapore).
