Between every photographer and their subject lies an unseen thread — the quiet moment before the shutter, the breath after, and all the untold exchanges in between. Knots of Time traces these invisible connections through the work of Leong Ka Tai (Uncle Tai), a veteran photographer driven by deep curiosity and care.
Over two years, Uncle Tai met 41 married couples from diverse backgrounds, gathering stories of love, resilience, and shared life. The portraits on view honour not just partnership, but the human bonds that hold people together through choice and circumstance. These stories invite viewers to reflect on their own ties, memories, and the knots of time kept across life’s chapters.
