Laws of Our Land: Foundations of a New Nation

Organised by the National Archives of Singapore (NAS) and the National Library Board (NLB), this exhibition titled “Laws of Our Land: Foundations of a New Nation”, puts a spotlight on three laws pivotal to shaping modern Singapore – the Citizenship Ordinance, the Woman’s Charter, and the Employment Act. The exhibition features 37 artefacts from the collections of the National Archives of Singapore, the National Library, and partner institutions, and visitors can learn about the historical circumstances that led to the passing of these laws.
