Double Take is an artistic expression of twins Christianne and Lesley Goonting Devaser’s joy of creativity. While both are deeply inspired by the beauty of nature, ethnic origins and the vibrancy of colour, their unique works reveal different yet complimentary dimensions of life.
Using a wide variety of techniques and media, Christianne’s pieces are visual treats that mostly provoke environmental messages of adaptability, possibility and hope. On the other hand, Lesley’s ceramic pieces are rooted in her spiritual journey and are expressions of selected Bible scripture verses. In combination, Double Take takes place in a single story and space, an intertwining of two hearts, two movements and two artistic journeys!
