LINE Sticker Design Competition

LINE, the world’s leading life platform today launched its inaugural sticker design competition in search of Singapore’s next young sticker artist.

The nation-wide sticker design competition is a first in Singapore by the brand to promote and award creative talent in Singapore. Themed Singapore Fabulous: Life in Singapore, the competition is targeted at local tertiary design students to create a set of 16-stickers that are a personal interpretation of the unique Singaporean experience such as Singaporean fashion, buildings, food, slogans, local slangs and famous landmarks.

Participating schools include LASALLE College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Raffles Design Institute, Temasek Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Nanyang Technological University and SIM University.

LINE is a pioneer of the digital sticker feature in the world of messenger apps, launching cartoon-like animation stickers as well as LINE Creators Market, an original platform that allows users all over the world to create and sell the stickers of their own design. Its commitment to enhancing the consumer experience through personalised content that bridges information, connections, services and goods remains in focus as stickers become a fundamental part of online messaging globally.

LINE’s user-generated Creator’s Market launched in 2014 and over 2.4 billion stickers are sent and received globally every day with 258,000 sets of stickers currently on sale.

The LINE: Search For Singapore’s Next Young Sticker Artist competition opens today and call for entries will close November 8, 2016 at 2359hours. Interested participants can visit https://lin.ee/DUPqlZ for more details on submission guidelines and terms and conditions.

Up to a maximum of 10 shortlisted entries will be featured on the official LINE Sticker Shop (Singapore) on November 29, 2016. All Singapore residents with registered local mobile numbers on the LINE mobile app can download and use the stickers free between November 29 to December 28, 2016.

Shortlisted entries will be evaluated by an expert panel of judges from the LINE Sticker team. The top three winning entries will be graded based on the criteria of number of sticker downloads and usage numbers.

The winner of the LINE: Search For Singapore’s Next Young Sticker Artist competition 2016 will take home a grand prize of S$3,000, followed by S$2,000 and S$1,000 for first and second-runner ups respectively, in cash value of FEVO Prepaid MasterCard® Cards.

Winners will be announced in January 2017.
