The whole idea behind graffiti is that you never see it being made. Witness this rare event and catch a graffiti master in action as internationally acclaimed French-Vietnamese artist Suby One makes his mark on our walls at SPRMRKT Daily, only to have it painted over after 24 hours—the fate of most graffiti art. The entire event will be live streamed on Facebook as well, for those who can’t be in Singapore to watch it.
Inspired by SPRMRKT’s Vietnamese Cultural Showcase which includes a culinary collaboration between SPRMRKT and Chef Peter Cuong Franklin from ănăn Saigon taking place that weekend, Suby One’s performance will mark the end of a 3 month long cultural showcase that features the best of contemporary Vietnamese culture to Singapore through food, art and design.
Also on display will be four unique Vietnamese stools hand-painted by Suby One himself. There will be a silent auction of the works and bidders will get to bring home a one-of-a-kind artwork, autographed by the artist. The two-day silent auction will start on Friday 16 March and end on Saturday 17 March, and interested parties will have to place their bids in a box at SPRMRKT Daily.
