Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) presents the SDT Choreographic Workshop Showing, Made In Singapore, held on 11 – 13 March 2021 at our studios. Initiated in 2021 as an annual collaboration between SDT and budding choreographers, the SDT Choreographic Workshop has seen and groomed many talents. It differs from other dance workshops as its intention is to build on developing choreographic language through a sense of exploration, rather than achieving a finished work for performance.
For the first time, three company dancers, Etienne Ferrère, Timothy Ng and Reece Hudson, will be presenting original choreographies at the showing. Joining them at the showing are local choreographers Christina Chan and Rachel Lum. Christina Chan is no stranger to SDT, having choreographed pieces for the company for more than 9 years, she will be presenting a World Premiere at the showing. Rachel Lum is the cofounder of Decadance, a Singaporean based contemporary dance company that pursues collaborative and multidisciplinary works, aspiring to connect different art forms and communities. She will also be presenting a World Premiere at the showing.
