Me and My Dogs is Leonard Wong’s debut solo exhibition. A self-taught Singaporean artist, Leonard uses pastels to depict dogs. His unique artistic style is a culmination of influences from Salvador Dali and Edward Hopper, as well as from his imagination and fondness for dogs. This has resulted in a mix of realism, surrealism and symbolism, evident in the artworks.
The artist finds the affectionate and playful nature of dogs heartwarming, and sees art as a way to capture memories of his own dogs as well as to express his love for them. His dedication has thus led him to explore different ways of painting, in order to depict the bond shared between him and his dogs.
All proceeds from the sale of his paintings will benefit animal shelters in Singapore.
