Microcosm: Intimacies Beyond Distance

Tang Contemporary Art Singapore is pleased to present Microcosm: Intimacies Beyond Distance, showcasing 43 artists from around the world. Including renowned masters: Ding Yi, Zhang Enli, Jigger Cruz, Geng Jianyi; Singapore-based artists: Wang Ruobing, Robert Zhao Renhui, Chen Sai Hua Kuan, Boedi Widjaja; and emerging voices: Wang Yifan, Gabriel Cheah, and more.

This exhibition stems from attention. Art has often been viewed from a respectful distance, with exhibition spaces designed to privilege proportion and unity seen at a glance. This exhibition proposes another way of looking, one that begins with closeness. It asks the viewer to step forward, where hidden worlds emerge like whispers too soft to carry across a room.
