Win Pe, Kin Maung Yin, Aung Myint, San Minn – four artists who lived and painted ahead of their peers – an architect, a film director, an industrial psychologist and a biology graduate. In the 1960s to 1980s they inspired a strong modernist movement amongst the literati, many from Rangoon University. Committed to freely creating artworks, they began artist groups that alternated from traditional art academy.
