Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay’s 13th edition of Moonfest – A Mid-Autumn Celebration will be expanded from three to six days this year, featuring more free programmes that are specially curated for youths. Running from 29 September till the actual Mid-Autumn Festival which falls on 4 October 2017, the festival also promises a star-studded line-up of programmes that promotes the richness and beauty of traditional Chinese arts. Audiences will be treated to quality performances by Plum Blossom Award winners from Hubei Provincial Peking Opera Theatre; virtuosic principal and star players of the renowned China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra; award-winning folk dancers of four ethnic minority groups from China, and winner of the M1-The Straits Times Life Theatre Awards 2017 for Best Production for the Young, Paper Monkey Theatre.
