Commemorate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s landing on the moon at Moongazers, an experience specially curated by ArtScience Museum, from 18 to 20 July. Moongazers explores the reverberations of Apollo 11’s achievement today and looks into our complex fascination with the Moon through a variety of performances, films, talks and workshops.
Moongazers’ programmes are complementary to Floating Utopias. Floating Utopias is a playful and poetic exhibition that explores the social history of inflatable objects, showing how, over the decades, they have been used in art, architecture and activism.
For the first time, performances will be held under Floating Utopias’ breathtaking Museum of Moon installation by British artist, Luke Jerram.
