Mosaic Jazz Fellows – No Alternative Jazz Band

The eight-piece No Alternative Jazz Band is an ensemble made up of graduates of Esplanade’s Mosaic Jazz Fellows class of 2016. Under the mentorship of Singapore jazz musicians Andrew Lim, Joshua Wan, Chok Kerong and Dr Tony Makarome, the ensemble has been hard at work learning the traditions of jazz and honing their chops. Now, they present a variety of jazz numbers ranging from straight-ahead to boogaloo, by artists such as Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis, Joe Henderson, Horace Silver and more.
