Flock is an interactive kinetic light installation inspired by Swan Lake, combining the romance of fairy tales with pedestrian performers, whose movements are detected and allocated a spotlight. Audience members become the dancers, translating into a personal experience while becoming something bigger when viewed from afar by onlookers who form the audience. KMA is a collaboration between UK artists Tom Wexler and Kit Monkman. The pair have been creating work together since they met in York in 1998, and continue to pursue their shared interests in light, design, technology, narrative, ritual and the active role of the audience. Most of their pieces are a hybrid of generative and narrative performance created using projected light and sound.
