UOB is proud to present 15 artworks by Mr Kobayashi Satoshi, 2016 UOB Painting of the Year Bronze Award winner (Established Artist Category) as the next artist showcase at the UOB Art Gallery.
Mr Kobayashi explores his perspective on agriculture and farming as a way of life in his latest exhibition, Of Craft and Carving. Ukiyo-e, a traditional wood carving technique features prominently in Mr Kobayashi’s artworks. He enjoys incorporating wood relief into his paintings as it accentuates the details of his subjects more vividly compared with traditional two-dimensional paintings and images.
