The final installment of a trilogy of Singapore heritage documentaries, Old Friends, will be launched on DVD on 11 July at Objectifs: Centre for Photography and Film. Old Friends joins a beloved series of documentaries, Old Places and Old Romances, which celebrate the relationships and fond memories that Singaporeans have of their home.
The film features 49 segments about local delights from homegrown hawker stalls and restaurants, marking the strong connection that Singaporeans have with their favourite food haunts. It is directed by Royston Tan, Alvin Lee, Boi Kwong and Debe Hoo.
To mark the DVD launch, Objectifs will present a special screening of Old Friends, followed by a QnA session with the film’s directors, including Royston Tan. After the screening, audiences will get to enjoy a reception featuring some of food in the film with the directors and members of the film community.
In addition, the DVD will be available at a special price of $20 (usual price $23). Fans of all 3 films will be able to purchase the DVDs for $60 (usual price $69). This offer is only available on the day at Objectifs.
