Now in its fourth edition, Past Forward continues Bank of Singapore’s commitment to spotlighting the rich heritage of Asian craftsmanship and supporting Singapore’s creative community.

With over a decade of experience in traditional sign painting and gold leaf gilding, Charmaine’s hand-painted motifs draw on Singapore’s disappearing visual language of streets, trades, and letterforms. Through archival references and new works, “Old is Gold” highlights the balance between preservation and progress, and celebrates the enduring appeal of traditional craft in contemporary life.
