OnBorrowedLand: Sungei Road Market is a three-day art exhibition organized by the group of individual creatives, all of whom are young undergraduate Singaporeans. We are organizing this event to remember the 1-year anniversary since the closure of the market. With the event, we hope to be able to celebrate the life and heritage that the market has contributed to our city, as seen through the eyes of the participating artists.
The exhibition will be showcasing an artistic collaboration between 15 young Singaporeans creatives with 11 works which touch on different themes relating to Sungei Road Market. From photographic works and film documentary to portrait paintings and mix media installations, the artworks that will be debuting in this exhibition are by promising-budding creatives.
