In Tan’s work, paint is thinned down and allowed to flow across the surface of a stretched translucent fabric, creating a variety of stains and marks which capture a subtle, fleeting contact. This viewing room takes us on a journey to explore the processes behind Tan’s work, including recent works that feature new techniques.
