Born and raised in Korea, Sijae Byun’s repertoire includes video, drawing, painting, and installation.
Sijae has been keeping busy at Grey Projects’ studio, developing a series of drawings and paintings, and we are excited to show everyone what she’s been up to. Combining fluid lines and organic shapes with constructed patterns and overlapping layers of acrylic paint, these works-in-progress explore the relationship between nature and architecture, interpreted through the mechanics of human organs.
On 12 and 13 June 2015, Grey Projects opens up the studio for informal meet-the-artist sessions, where you can have a chat with Sijae and learn more about her works and creative process.
