For the first time ever, visitors can step into the core of a Supertree and discover a kaleidoscope of orchids blooming within, as the iconic Singaporean symbol is reimagined for Orchid Extravaganza (兰花盛事) in Flower Dome. At the heart of the display are three orchid-clad Supertrees, including a 6.5-metre-tall centrepiece adorned with over 1,800 orchids on both its interior and exterior, which visitors can walk right into.
Orchid Extravaganza features a total of more than 6,000 orchids, in creative orchid interpretations of Singaporean symbols, such as a floral tribute to Peranakan culture, recreations of Cultural Medallion recipient Mr Lee Hock Moh’s orchid paintings, and a nod to the orchid’s enduring presence throughout Singapore’s history.
