OS2_Operating Systems is the second instalment of SAM’s Open Systems initiative, a virtual exhibition that questions the impacts of ideological and technological systems on contemporary life. Focusing on historical and emergent implications of systems on our realities, OS2_Operating Systems is unveiled across four chapters, covering themes from traditional knowledge systems and archival methodologies to reinvigorating ecosystems and alternative models of collective organisation. In an era driven by algorithms and hyper-connectivity, society grapples with the complex relations between human experience and the often-invisible networks governing daily life. Organised by artist collective TwoNewEntities, this update reveals and challenges how systems and systems thinking shape contemporary existence.
