Following the huge success of OUTSIDER’s first edition last October, the fashion art festival returns. To be held at The Projector from 4th – 7th April 2018, OUTSIDER is poised to be an assemblage of art installations and fashion showcases from designers in Asia.
Exhibiting a different perspective of art and fashion, 20 fashion designers and artists from Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and the UK will be in town to join a select homegrown designers at this free-admission festival.
Regional labels showcasing their latest collection at the festival are China’s Lanneret, Mimblanche and Wens, Hong Kong’s Methodology, Taiwan’s BATICE, Thailand’s Takara Wong and Boys of Bangkok – a collective of three Thai labels (Leisure Projects, P.Mith, Q Design & Play) and London’s Luooifstudio.
Home-grown participating labels are ABSTRACXION, AMETSUBI and Playhood.
Blending fashion and art seamlessly, the festival will also exhibit contemporary home décor pieces, embroidery works and art installations by local artist Amien, Diplomat, Gold & Behold, Nature Shankar and Simon Ng.
Man Chien X Haiku Fever will exhibit an interactive installation ‘The Changing Room’ where one’s thoughts can turn into a spontaneous poetry or a love poem for someone.
