Overdrawn presents the notion of expanded drawing practice as a process of hybridising and fusing a variety of concepts, media and techniques. It is an inter-institutional exchange between Victorian College of the Arts, The University of Melbourne, Australia and NAFA, showcasing transdisciplinary practices by four faculty members from each institution, including a range of practices that position drawing as a philosophical approach towards making art. Overdrawn generates a deeper awareness of physical space and context as integral to contemporary understandings of drawing as an expanded practice.
