Lobster Beach, presented by Mastercard and Whitestone Gallery Singapore, is a large scale public art activation by British pop artist Philip Colbert that transforms the beachfront into an immersive playscape of colour, humour and imagination. At the heart of the activation stands an 8-metre ice-cream sculpture, a joyful form that draws on the shared language of beach culture, holidays and childhood nostalgia.
Accompanying the ice-cream sculpture are three 5-metere inflatable installations inspired by sea creatures laid across Tanjong Beach, which animate the landscape with colour and rhythm and echoing the life of the ocean.
