Photowalk: Reimagining Nature

Step into a quieter side of Singapore and discover the photographic magic of Thomson Nature Park. Once the site of a forgotten Hainanese village, this tranquil forest is now a refuge for rare wildlife and lush tropical landscapes,  including sightings of the critically endangered Raffles’ Banded Langur.

Join us for a relaxed, hands-on nature photowalk where you’ll learn how to turn everyday scenes of forest life into compelling images. From layered forest compositions to soft low-light moods, you’ll discover how to see nature differently through your camera.

Guided by an experienced photography instructor, this beginner-friendly session blends practical tips, creative inspiration, and real-time shooting practice in one of Singapore’s most atmospheric green spaces.

What you’ll learn

  • Spot and compose beautiful shots among dense foliage, textures, and wildlife
  • Discover how light, mood, and environment influence your photography style
  • Get practical tips you can immediately apply to travel and nature photography
  • Receive hands-on tips from an experienced photography instructor
  • Participate in a group photo review session for feedback and learning
  • Suitable for all camera types, including smartphones

Whether you’re a beginner looking to improve your photography, a nature lover wanting to explore a hidden forest, or simply seeking a creative weekend escape, this photowalk offers a refreshing way to slow down, observe, and create meaningful images.
