Former photojournalist Wee Teck Hian will present his first solo exhibition Longing and Belonging at Objectifs’ Lower Gallery from 7 Feb to 1 Mar 2020. The show presents his documentation, through black-and-white panoramic photographs, of changes in Singapore’s landscape since the early 2000s.
This photowalk, led by Wee, is held in conjunction with the exhibition. Participants will be introduced to the Waterloo Street area, which with its multiple temples, arts spaces, markets and street stalls, is reflective of Singapore’s multi-ethnic communities, religious diversity and the coexistence of old and new.
No prior photography experience is required. Participants are to bring their own cameras they are comfortable with; smartphone cameras are welcome too.
