How can we reimagine our favourite songs as the soundtrack of our everyday lives?
Join us for a zine-making workshop revolving around music in film! Taking place in conjunction with the film screening programme, Now Showing: Karaoke! Playing the ♯ and ♭, this is your opportunity to delve deeper into mixtape culture and the art of Music Videos, while showcasing your creativity in a zine.
The workshop will begin with a short sharing by Objectifs Programme Assistant Director, Leong Puiyee, on the publishing subculture that zines were a product of, as well as her own zine-making experiences. The hands-on segment of the workshop will follow immediately after.
Requirements
Some basic zine-making materials will be provided, e.g. coloured paper, markers, crayons, scissors, and glue.
Participants are to bring their own memorabilia and decorative materials, such as old movie tickets, coloured pens, and washi tapes!
