It has been five rigorous but fruitful months of workshops, clinics, and consultations for the four literary writers at The Necessary Stage’s special series for Playwrights’ Cove 2026: From Page to Stage. They are now ready to unveil the fruits of their labour for the stage, comprising adaptations of new and published works!

Over four intimate invite-only sessions from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November 2026 at The Necessary Stage’s studio, audience members will encounter these works by writers Ahmad Syarif, Daryl Qilin Yam, Noonherd, and Rachelyn Gordon. These readings cover myriad topics, but all centred on the relationships in our lives that are forged, disrupted, and challenged with time.

All play readings will be followed by a dialogue session with the artists, facilitated by Artistic Director and Programme Lead, Haresh Sharma.
