Specially invited by NAFA, 3 well-known contemporary Indonesian artists who are also founding artists of the contemporary art collective, Jendela Art Group, Handiwirman Saputra, Yusra Martunus and Jumaldi Alfi, will showcase their sculptural installations and paintings in this exhibition. Known to be imaginative with their ideas and creative with their mediums, these artists convey through their works, not only meaningful narratives but also their passion for art. This specially commissioned exhibition will be accompanied by ISEAA’s third instalment of the Southeast Asian Art Clinic. This forum will engage students and lecturers on the theme of sensibility, poetics and discovery located in a Southeast Asian discourse unbound by geography, yet refined by particular thought and self unique to how we live in, make art and regard the region.
