Serat Centhini, the book, is steeped in ambiguty. Consisting of 12 volumes, it covers everything about life in Java, from its history, politics, culture, spirituality, economy and society. But overall, this book is about a journey of life that is experienced by every single person in this world.
Serat Centhini has two main characters: Amongraga and Cebolang. These two main characters run away from home for different reasons, but undergo the same journey to finally go back home.
We are all vagabonds in this world, trying to find a home.
Where is home? What is home?
Your journey decides your home, your journey decides your path.
If death is our home, living is the best way to come home.
