Reflection marks the month of Ramadan, celebrated by Muslims all over the world. A period of fasting with steadfastness, it is a time to renew one’s faith, reflect on one’s actions and recollect memories of loved ones. Denoting values of peace, kindness, patience and love, Ramadan reminds us to share joy and inspirations especially during difficult times like the pandemic.
The exhibition will also welcome Syawal, celebrating the end of the month-long fast, in commemoration of Eid or Hari Raya Puasa, marked with gratitude and strengthening of bonds amongst family and friends.
A visual celebration through the eyes of various artists, Reflection presents fine work incorporating Islamic calligraphy, mosques, local landscapes and abstract expressions across various mediums like oil, acrylic, watercolour, batik, photography, ceramics and mixed media.
