References to Chinese history, culture and techniques create a framework for Chinese artists Chen Linggang and Pang Yun. Chen Linggang explores the history, reality and culture in order to find deeper meanings while Pang Yun deals with the notion of time and the reinvention of art practice in her work.
Both artists draw from traditional methods and concepts to create a new contemporary take. As a consequence of blurring the boundaries between tradition and contemporaneity, their works emanate the peaceful calmness of these reconciled endeavors.
