Selected from three decades of works, Roger Ballen’s Menagerie explores the staging of animals and human’s unexpected intervention that turns out theatrical and illusive to the mind. Treading between fantasy and reality, Ballen’s ‘documentary fiction’ is a powerful commentary about the human condition in South Africa.
