LOY Contemporary Art Gallery is proud to unveil Journey of Self-discovery, a new solo exhibition by Korean artist Rori Hee, which will run from 16 January 2025 to 1 March 2025.
Artist’s Notes:
I often feel like an insignificant, useless existence. In life, I frequently pretend to be kind, pretend to understand, pretend to be smart, and even pretend that everything is fine…
But now, I have decided to embark on a true journey, to find my real self, to chase my dreams and hopes.
In the heart of the forest, accompanied by the breath of nature and the changing weather, I feel the intertwined forces of healing, hope, and inspiration.
I possess a special ability!
My gleaming horn can draw energy from nature and the weather, guiding me toward a radiant future. As long as I keep moving forward silently, I will eventually reach the land of my dreams, won’t I? Yet, fear in my heart often makes me want to hide; sometimes, I retreat beneath my own lashes, concealing my fragile emotions. These complex feelings, like the intertwining colors in my hair, reveal the depths of my inner world.
Although I’m still a bit afraid, as long as we walk hand in hand, there is nothing to fear! Let’s embark on this journey of self-exploration together!
