Ruhua Wilding is a solo exhibition by Chinese Artist & Innovator Jia Wei. The solo exhibition will showcase 35 pieces of Jia’s iconic paintings and sculptures from his prolific period. These artworks in the exhibition extend Jia’s imaginative journey and authentically encapsulate his creative essence on the beauty of self-healing, relentless pursuit of breakthroughs, and rebirth during the lowest point of his life.
The Ruhua series of artworks deeply embodies his thoughts and perspectives as well as his critique of the world. These figures resonate with the “inner child” of the artist, that childlike essence that persists within adulthood. The imaginative realm of Ruhua enables us to see the realities beyond, rekindling our hearts to experience the bliss of eternal life. It speaks to humanity’s eternal quest for longevity, beauty, and endurance.
Jia Wei is not only a pioneering artist but also has an extensive background as an innovative designer. His art is celebrated for versatility across mediums, standing out with his avant-garde style. Jia defied the expectations of his era to forge a successful ‘Ruhua’ character fueled by his bold, colorful abstractions. Jia sheds light on his art process which revolves around a wide array of mediums which include easel painting, sculpture, and installations. One of the highlights of Ruhua Wilding will feature a dazzling collection of sculptures and tactile paintings where a series of artworks are designed and hand-built by Jia Wei together with Prince Jiang.
