As part of SAM’s Collection Gallery, two concurrent exhibitions feature artworks from SAM’s international contemporary collection that draw from critical artistic practices and illuminate topical strands emerging from its preceding show. Delving into different facets of art and memory: Talking Objects examines the transformation of material objects into art, while Time after Time examines collaborative approaches towards preserving the ephemeral. Together, they foreground questions of reinterpretation, translation, recollection, and the situating of art across time and space.
