As Singapore commemorates the 200th anniversary of Raffles’ landing in Singapore, The MadHatter Project invites members of the public to celebrate this landmark in Singapore’s history as they hold a listening party – imaginatively titled “Sarong Party”. Through music, complemented with other multi-disciplinary elements, festival-goers explore what the British left behind and how Singapore has contended with or co-opted these legacies since its independence.
