The Federation of Art Societies Singapore 60th National Day Art Exhibition marks an important milestone in the history of the Federation and development of art in Singapore. The theme of the exhibition will be the celebration of 60 years of Singapore as a nation. There will be around 160 artworks from artists of different races, Chinese, Malays, Indians and others, including artists from China, India, Japan and Myanmar etc. who have made their home in Singapore. The artists span different generations, showcasing artworks of diverse form, material and medium, all adding to the rich and colourful cultural tapestry of the Singapore art scene.
