Singapore Clay Festival
The biennial edition of the Singapore Clay Festival presents an exciting lineup of programmes and two curated exhibitions.
Shaping Clay seeks to give a current, selective view of noteworthy ceramic works made by clay makers based in Singapore, that point to the future of Singapore ceramics. The jury looks to exhibit works that are artistic, original, innovative, fresh, creative, stretching the boundaries of ceramic work, that may have a sense of cultural identity and imagination.
Singapore Clay Heritage: Iskandar Jalil is a selection of works from the celebrated potter’s own collection. Each work marks a place in Iskandar’s memory even as it holds its position in the potter’s repository of works created over fifty years.
