From 1-29 September, engage with the works of over 99 artists spread across over 30 galleries. This year’s line-up includes works by international powerhouse Yayoi Kusama (Ota Fine Arts), regional art stalwarts Natee Utarit (STPI) and Demos Chiang (Whitestone Gallery), a group show of female artists from the Southeast Asian diaspora (39+ Art Space), local stars Ruben Pang (Richard Koh Fine Art) and Faris Heizer (Cuturi Gallery), just to name a few. Categorised into 3 ZONES: Gillman Barracks & vicinity, Tanjong Pagar & vicinity, and Orchard & Beyond, AGAS members will collectively open their doors to showcase a kaleidoscope of visual art.
Beyond just exhibitions, visitors can look forward to a smorgasbord of festivities and activities including educational talks, guided tours, and workshops. One particular highlight includes a partnership with UNIQLO, who will co-conduct a series of children-oriented workshops, one of which will be conducted at new AGAS member space: Mama on Palette, a community of Singapore-based mother artists who are offering a series of family-friendly workshops on practices such as the Japanese art of kintsugi, resin jewellery making and face painting.
New this year as well, is a partnership with Peace of Art, a non-profit organisation, to conduct an art-oriented boot camp for underprivileged children, as well as art platform Cohart, which is collaborating with SGM on a virtual tour of young collector Laura Peh’s art collection and a giveaway of three Patron’s Passes for visitors to their website.
