Enjoy hawker fare by the river? The closing weekend of Singapore Heritage Festival (SHF) at the Asian Civilisations Museum celebrates this with a fun-filled weekend of Singaporeans’ favourite hawker dishes, and memories of dining by the river. This weekend festival sparks conversations about the food we love, and explores the relationships that are built around them, which continue to bond generations of Singaporeans. Anchored by a special installation inspired by hawker centres of the past in the vicinity, such as the Empress Place Food Centre, SHF @ Singapore River will also feature hawkers serving some of Singaporeans’ favourite hawker food, alongside exhibitions, outdoor film screenings, and performances. So, come join in the festivities, lepak with us, and relive shared memories of hawker fare by our beloved Singapore River.
