Calling all art enthusiasts! Immerse yourself in Singapore’s vibrant arts scene with Sketch Up 2024, the first-ever rain or shine, outdoor mass-sketching event in the Civic District organised by Arts House Limited, the place manager of the Civic District. On 26 October 2024, join over 300 (and counting!) fellow artists and art lovers at the picturesque Empress Lawn of the Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall for a memorable morning of creativity and community. Capture the stunning beauty of the Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall and create your masterpiece in this historic venue as we celebrate an iconic landmark of Singapore’s history.

Supported by programme partner, Art Apart, Sketch Up 2024 invites artists and art enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds to capture the historical and architectural charm of the Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall. Registered participants in attendance on event day will receive a goodie bag* (worth $20) and attendees are required to bring their own sketching materials for the event. Colouring sheets and pencils will be provided for children to join in the fun.

This inaugural event will also feature respected urban landscape painter Chankerk Teh and artists from Urban Sketchers Singapore, a passionate community dedicated to on-location sketching. Prepare to be inspired by their expertise and join in the excitement of this remarkable celebration of creativity!

After the event, the diverse sketch interpretations of Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall by the participants will be on full display at Sketch Up 2024’s digital showcase on the Civic District website. Members of the public can cast their vote for their favourite artwork, and the artist whose sketch with the most votes will win a drawing tablet.
