Some Kind of Happy by Nguyen Tran Chau Anh
In contrast to an overt expression of excitement and delight, Some kind of happy conjures an understated feeling of bliss. Whether externally expressed as a reply to how one is feeling or an internal sensation when encountering something that gives pleasure, it invokes an overall positive note.
The artworks shown in this exhibition intend to elicit these quiet, nuanced perceptions of happiness, pleasure and hope. Ranging from media that are more materially tangible to those that are ephemeral, the prints, objects, paintings, sound work and installations are the result of the studio practice and processes of our current Diploma, BA(Hons) and MA Fine Arts students.
