Running from 10 January to 2 February 2025 at New Bahru, “Space” showcases internationally acclaimed contemporary artists.
Deschenes’ striking contribution features two rectangular frames housing monochromatic photographs. As you move around them, your reflection intertwines with the images, creating dynamic layers of colour and depth. The mesmerising blue tones draw inspiration from the Blue Wool Scale—a system originally used to measure dye permanence in textiles and printing. Set within Factory—a former garment factory now transformed into a vibrant arts space—this artwork resonates deeply with the venue’s history, bridging its industrial past with its creative present.
