Presented by Mapletree, Stories from an Island City – Celebrating 60 Years of Singapore brings beloved folk songs and lullabies reimagined from our Stories from an Island City album. Join us on a musical journey that reflects Singapore’s multicultural past and present, sharing the sounds and songs many of us grew up with. Rediscover familiar tunes with a fresh twist such as Fusion inspired by the energetic Chan Mali Chan to Childhood which blends the nostalgic San Lun Che, Ni Wa Wa, Ikan Keke, and Kakak Tua, and many more!
Performing alongside The TENG Ensemble are an exciting line-up of guest artists including Bhaskar’s Arts Academy, percussionist Lalit Kumar, Nadi Singapura, accordionist Syafiqah ‘Adha, Voices of Singapore, and our Mapletree-TENG scholars.
